Dr. Salem graduated from Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at CCNY and went on to attend Mount Sinai school of Medicine. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Brooklyn Hospital Center and was Board Certified in 2004. He became an Assistant Professor at Kings County/SUNY Downstate from 2003-2009 and continues to practice medicine at the Quick Docs Brooklyn Urgent Care Facility.
Dr. Salem's passion for health care in the Brooklyn community has grown during his six years working at Quick Docs. He has seen thousands of patients entering the clinic for treatment of most non life-threatening illnesses and/or injuries, which otherwise would be treated by a hospital emergency room department, as well as, for the treatment of occupational and acute rehabilitation medicine. The clinic aims at providing top quality medical treatment to underserved, lower-income patients to which otherwise, affordable care is currently out of reach. The staff at Quick Docs understands how difficult it can be to go about your daily affairs while dealing with injuries and or health problems due to an accident and/or illness. That is why the objective is to do everything possible to lighten the burden by alleviating any and all stress that could get in the way of a recovery.
